Sophie: I co-directed this observational documentary with partner Bob Connolly. We filmed for 18 months embedded in the Music department at MLC School Sydney. My job was to capture sound, second camera and direct the multi camera coverage of the final concert. In post I was principle editor, working with Ray Thomas and Nick Meyers at different intervals. We had 263 hours of footage and we edited for a year. The film premiered on opening night of the 2011 Adelaide Film Festival and ran in cinemas in Australia for 17 weeks, breaking box office records grossing over 1.2 million. It collected a few gongs on the way too.
